Tagged | 7 Random Things

I've been tagged by Maribeth at Formidable Courage!
Thank you, Maribeth!  It's been so lovely getting to know you through Pinterest and now through our blogs!

If you've been here a while, then you know how much I love tags.
I love 'em.  A lot.
Alrighty, on to this here 7 random things tag...
{1.}
I can crack an egg using one hand without getting egg shells in the bowl.  Sabrina, anyone?

{2.}
The sheep made not one, but two escape attempts yesterday, but I rounded them up both times by myself. It involved yelling, flapping my jacket at them, and an outrageous amount of running.  I'm soooo ready for when The Doctor shows up! ;D

{3.}
In case you haven't noticed, I'm a bit obsessed with Doctor Who right now...just a little bit.  ;)

Would you believe I spent about 10 min. trying to decide which Doctor Who image to put here?  I have way too many on my Pinterest board...and they're all my favorite;)

{4.}
My mom and I discovered Ever After: A Cinderella Story the other day.  Oh my word - we loved it so much we watched it twice in one day.  *grin*  The hairstyles...the COSTUMES!!!!   I love it!!

Prince Henry could have been a bit more...manly and less thoughtless.   He wasn't exactly lacking in courage, but....well, I guess it's not fair to expect all men to be like Sir Percy, is it? ;)

{5.}
It's raining cats and dogs here again.  This has to be the wettest spring that I can remember!  It's crazy...and rather stressful for me because it means I've had to feed more hay than I normally would because the animals can't be in the pastures.  I'm running out of hay and I'll probably have to buy some more...which was not in my plans.  Oh well.  At least I don't have to worry about irrigating the pastures! :)

{6.}
I found this recipe for Nutella cookies on Pinterest and gave them a try the other day.

Oh. My. Word.
So, so yummy!  And extremely simple to make, too!  Just three ingredients - flour, 1 egg and Nutella.

{7.}
I just finished reading The Hunger Games trilogy yesterday.  Still not sure what to think of them.  I enjoyed the story and characters, but I don't think I would read them again.  Not the type of books I'd like to have as a steady diet.  They're definitely page turners, though - I finished them in three days - and gave me much to think about.
.....

And there's my seven random things!

Now, who to tag.
I believe I'll tag some of my newest followers who have blogs of their own...

Miss Elizabeth Bennet at Elegance of Fashion
Abilaine at Miss Emma Woodhouse
Leah Nicolette at The Sweetest Charm
The Editrix at Ribbons of Light

I know not everyone enjoys doing tags, so please don't feel like you have to join in. :)

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone!

  1. I've spent a looong time looking at your Pinterest, so yeah, I can totally relate to your losing 10 minutes. That website really sucks you in. ;) Especially with all those DW pics on there!

    I love Ever After! The costumes are amazing. And, yeah, haha... Henry... My sisters and I often poke fun at him... Poor Henry. ;) I do like him... well, kinda... I guess you expressed it best. He could have been more manly and less thoughtless. Though he does have some funny lines, I'll give him that.

  2. Hehe, that's how I know I would never survive as a companion for the Doctor...I am not a runner! :P I should probably work on improving that...(;

    Ever After is one of my favorites! It's such an amazing movie, though I never really loved Henry as a Prince Charming sort of guy.

    I think I feel the same way about The Hunger Games. It's an interesting scenario, which is what draws me to them, but not great works of literature to be placed on the shelf alongside A Tale of Two Cities.

    Ahh--those cookies look so good! I definitely will have to give them a try one of these days!

  3. Ha!!!! Me too. My brother runs all the time, and so I was like, um, to get in shape for the wedding...how about I start running too? Got a great excuse. of course we all know why I'm *really* doing it...heheheeee.

    Ever After is really sweet! I was a bit unimpressed with Henry, too...but all in all, really really cute. And the costumes were SO GORGEOUS.

    Ok, I got a newsflash today...ha! So I don't know if you've seen Little Dorrit yet, but I'd seen a while back and I was looking at pictures from it today. I saw the picture of Tattycoram and I'm like, hm, she looks like Martha. Then I did a double-take and realized it was Freema playing her. I was like, OOOOOHHH!!! Random, but it was fun. :-D

    Those cookies look DELICIOUS. :) You're not helping my attempts at dieting. Hahahaha!

    Oh. And adore the Doctor picture. Good choice. Hehehehehe.

  4. LOL..."Seriously, there's an outrageous amount of running involved." I love it! And I'm getting familiar enough with All Things Wibbly-Wobbly-Timey-Wimey to say beyond a shadow of a doubt that that was...Donna! *walks off feeling very smart*

    Saw Ever After a looooooong time ago...but the scenes are still very vivid in my mind :) I especially remember enjoying one of the last scenes where the wicked stepmother realizes Danielle has become the Princess--so awesome!

    Consider yourself very blessed to be getting so much rain. It's hot, dry, and windy down here in Louisiana. Wish y'all could share some of your rain with us :P

    Well, I'll tell you like I told Alexandra: I loved your answers!!! This is the first tag I've done for someone other than my sister or my best friend, so it's been lots of fun to read all the random things.

  5. Ever After is one of my favorites. I saw it for the first time a couple years ago on TV and got it on Blu-ray for my birthday this year. It's a fun movie!

  6. The two random listings I found amazing were the escaping sheep and Nutella cookies. Catching animals that escape not once but twice in one day is really difficult! They just WON'T come for grain or treats OR threats. So annoying and just when you think you have them they dart the other way. GRRRR!! Following that frustration, those Nutella cookies sound like the perfect human reward for a lot of frustrating dashing about!!

  7. I'm glad you're getting above average rain right now. So much of the West is dry and on fire.
    Trust beautiful Northern Idaho continues to get intermittent rain, interspersed with clear and warm days.

  8. GreenMedallion - Hehe. Pinterest is quite addictive;)

    Vicki - lol! I'm not much of a runner myself, but when necessary, I can;)

    Alexandra - Haha! Yep, we all know why you're really doing it:D

    I knew Martha looked familiar! How cool is that! And Little Dorrit is one of my favorite miniseries ever.

    lol. Resisting those cookies is quite a task.

    Miss Elizabeth Bennent - You're welcome:)

    Maribeth - You're getting to be quite an expert on all things Doctor Who...especially considering you've never watched it! lol!

    I'd gladly share our rain with you if I could! And yes, I am so thankful for the rain.

    Feel free to tag me anytime - I do love tags, you know;)

    Sereina - It is a fun movie!!

    Winnie - My sheep will actually come for grain...but I don't always have it when I need it! =) Yeah, threats do not work. At all.
    Nutella cookies can cure anything;)

    Mr. Dane - That's very true. I am so thankful to have this much rain when Colorado is has that huge fire going on.
