Visiting the Sheep | 1st Vlog

Alright-y, you asked for it!  My first ever vlog!
*confetti*
Actually, because of my brother's amazing camera skills and awesome editing, it turned out really nice. *grin*
Thanks bro!

Without further ado, me...with a special appearance by the Bonnie dog.

So, what do y'all think?  Is this something you'd like to see more of, or should I stick to the written word and pictures?  No matter what your opinion, do let me know!  I promise, I won't be offended;)

Happy Trails!

  1. I loved watching this, Tasha!!! It was fun to 'meet' your sheep! And Bonnie licking the ewe was too cute!

  4. SQUEEEE!!! I loved it!!! Ok, so you've pushed me over the edge, I must make a vlog! Hurrah! I have no clue what I'll talk about...but then, my DW collection came in today (!!!) so that's always a good conversation starter! I knowwwwww, it's soooo awkward talking to a camera. My thing is my sibs come in when I'm talking and they're like, WHY are you talking outloud to yourself?!?!?! And that's a bit awkward. :-P

Anyway! I absolutely LOVED the vid, LOVED meeting your sheep, and want lots, lots more, please! :)

  5. Wow, Natasha, what an enjoyable introduction to your sheep and to Bonnie. Although I've met you -- briefly for the most part -- it's really a pleasure to see you interact with your animals and to see a bit of the ranch at the same time. Thanks to Alex for his videography. Yes, more vlogs please.

  6. This was great Tasha!!It was fun getting to meet you and your sheep for a few minutes. I agree with everyone else, that these vlogs are the perfect way to melt the miles between us "Day by Day"! Thanks for doing this and looking forward to what is next!

  7. Cute! Very nice job, Alex! Especially the intro. And you are quite the natural in front of the camera, Tasha! More vlogs would be fun...but "don't forget to write"... ;-)

  8. I agree with everyone else. This was so much fun. I loved the editing and the beautiful music, too. :D

    More, please! :)

  9. Love it! Your brother did a great job with the filming and editing.

Oh, yes, I'd love to see more vlogs!

  10. Super cute!! And Alex did a great job with the filming and editing. I loved watching it and meeting your sheepies... I have to admit, the Bonnie dog was my favorite.

In general I don't tend to watch vlogs because it takes longer than reading blog posts. I can read fast, or skim, or whatever. With vlogs it takes however long it is. Ya know? That being said... it would be fun to have more every now and then. I liked this one very much! (The ones I don't like are the ones where someone is sitting at their computer talking into their webcam.)

Like Jan said, "Don't forget to write!"

  11. I think you did very well! I'd love to see more of the same thing!

  12. I think you did wonderfully in front of the camera. You should definitely do more of these. I especially like how you brother edited it. It gave it more of a professional appearance. He did a great job! I also thought it was kind of cute how the yews would just come up to you and let you pet them. I've always thought that farm animals like that were a little standoffish. But then again I've never had farm animals because I have the dreadful experience of living in the middle of town. UGH! But anyway. Great job! I hope to see more of these in the future.
    Blessings,
    Purity Leigh

  13. Natasha;
I'm Bella :) I just started following your blog. I LOVE Sherlock, LOTR, and fun movies... I am a huge DW fan. so when I heard of a Whovian party (on "Occasional Randomness") I was sucked in *Grin* Is it still on or is it over?
    God Bless

  16. P.S. - Would love to meet the horses and llamas and kitties! Would love to meet your parents, too, even though they introduced themselves to me in Feb. 2011, it was brief and no conversation was possible. My guess is that I am making too many suggestions!

  17. Goodness, gracious me - what an awful lot of comments! :D It sounds like most of you would like to see more vlogs. They definitely will not be the norm. More like a special every once in a while thing, so no fear that I shall stop writing and sharing pics;)

Miss Melody Muffin - I'm so glad you enjoyed meeting my sheep. Bonnie always makes me chuckle when she does that;)

    Treskie - *grin* Thanks;)

    Kellie - Haha! I know, Brother Alex;D

Ally - Hehe. Oh, I definitely want to see you do a vlog!! Eeep!!! Definitely share about your DT DW colletion!!!

Mr. Dane - I'm glad you enjoyed the mini ranch tour:)

Winnie - It was such fun getting to share my sheep with everyone!

Jan - Why thank you! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I definitely won't stop writing:)

beastsbelle - I love the P&P 2005 soundtrack so much. It seemed like the perfect fit:)

    Sereina - *grin*

Karla - Hehe, Bonnie is so much fun;) Yes, I totally agree with you on vlogs vs. typed posts. I certainly don't have time to do a vlog this every week, anyway;)

Avonlea_dreamer - You shall definitely see more of these:)

Purity Leigh - Thanks! My sheep are extremely tame and friendly. Most sheep are a bit more standoffish, but I spend so much time with mine just talking to them, petting them, and taking their pictures that they can't help it;)

Bella - Welcome to my wee corner of the blogging world! Hooray for Sherlock, LOTR and Doctor Who!!! :D Yes! The Doctor Who party doesn't start until October 22nd, so you're still in plenty of time! Can't wait to "see" you there! :)

Kellie - Thank you dear;) Also for making it possible with your excellent photography skills. *grin*
    Eeep!! I know you'd love it!!! =D

    Mr. Dane - Thank you!
I don't know about my parents, but I'm definitely planning in introducing everyone to the horses, llamas and kitties! Suggestions are always good:)

  18. YAY ON DW!!!!

So.... how exactly do you DO a blog party? (If I may ask) I've never done this type of thing before. Is there a page I can visit for the rules and such?
    Bellla

  19. Bella - Well, during blog parties there are typically guest posts, giveaways, tutorials, and other fun activities. You participate through comments or through your blog sometimes (if you have one). There aren't really any rules - just show up and have fun! :) Any instructions will be in the party posts themselves.

  20. Natasha;

I sort of asked you about the DW party again because I didn't really understand... but I might just watch and see how "experienced" blog party people do it *Wink* I'm sorry if the repetitive question annoyed you :D
    God Bless
    Bella

  21. Bella - No, I'm definitely not annoyed:) I think if you'll get into the swing of things pretty quickly once the party begins. It's going to be a lot of fun:D

  22. Yes I really loved the vlog! Do more! My sister and I have always wanted sheep of our own, so it was fun to see your sheep and learn more about you too Natasha. I am looking forward to the doctor who blog party! I can't wait. :)

  23. Ahhh...I have no idea why I didn't see this before! :P I would never have seen it if I hadn't read one of your old tweets (I just got a twitter, by the by! You can follow me @maidinthearena if you like!)...and promptly rushed over. I love, love, loveeee sheep (though since we live in the suburbs I've never been able to have one, haha), so I was super excited to meet all of yours! They're all so sweet and adorable! Oh, and I love your dog! She's absolutely darling, and it looks like she's pretty good friends with your sheep!
And it was great to "meet" you too! I'd love to see some more vlogs...I think they're such fun! Perhaps one day I'll have to make one of my own...after I get over this wretched cold, though!
