It's been raining a lot here.
I like rain.
Welll...I like drizzly rain.
Not 'raining cats and dogs' rain.
'cause that's just miserable to be out feeding the animals in...not to mention the mud.
But drizzle is different.
It's perfect for walking in, and it's also perfect for staying inside and being cozy.
Which is what I did yesterday.
I sat and crocheted and sipped tea and watched North & South.

I actually debated between North & South and The Adventures of Robin Hood for a few minutes.
North & South seemed to fit the day better.
It's probably my very favorite period drama...although Little Dorrit is so close it's pretty much a tie.
Have a wonderful day, y'all!
p.s.
You know, I would probably choose to watch Robin Hood. It's my new "favorite" (and it'll probably stay that way for a while). That blanket looks beautiful! Where did you get the pattern? I'd like to try it sometime.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week!
Thanks for reminding me to link to the crochet pattern, Purity Leigh! There's a link at the bottom of the post now.
ReplyDeleteRobin Hood *happy sigh*
It's been my favorite film since I can remember. I must have watched it at least 50 times...and I'm not exaggerating. Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland are just beautiful together. I think I'm going to watch it today:)
Blessings,
~Tasha~
What a great idea for a rainy day! We are in a drought and hot (like 90 Degrees almost every day hot)!! The possibility of a grey drizzly day to just watch favorite movies is a luxury I cannot imagine! I love that photo of the blanket with your feet hanging out! I am glad you had the sort of perfect day for delving into your favorites!
ReplyDelete(Yaknow, I really need to watch North and South again someday....)
ReplyDeleteLoving that afghan! Thanks for providing the link--I bookmarked the instructions, as I have yarn coming out my ears. ;-)
God bless,
~"Wild Rose"~
Sounds like the perfect day! North and South is one of my favorites, and Robin Hood is pretty amazing too.(: I think I should definitely rewatch both sometime soon.
ReplyDeleteYour blanket is so pretty! I love the pattern!

Lovely, lovely, lovely:) I've been enjoying the rain with hot tea too, but I only wish I had time to snuggle up with some movies... hopefully soon=) I've been working for nearly 30 hours on a brainstorm... stopping every now and then, of course. I can't wait to show you!
ReplyDeleteAdore the afghan, dear! It reminds me of your color coordinated bookshelf;)
Love ya,
--Kellie
Lovely afghan! I have to say that I too have a hard time deciding which I like better North and South or Little Dorrit! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your wonderful comments. They made my perfect day even better:) I'm so glad you all like the afghan! It makes my heart sing, just to look at it.
ReplyDeleteWild Rose - Yaknow, you really should;)
Vicki - I think you should re-watch them both sometime soon, too! =)
Kellie - Ooh, I can't WAIT to see and hear about your brainstorm!! Is it scathingly brilliant? ;)
Also, the color coordinated books are no more - in a fit of super organization, I pulled all of the books off the shelf and grouped them according to author and subject once more. My Penelope side got the better of me... *grin*
Love ya, too:)
I hope you all had a simply marvelous week!
Blessings,
~Tasha~
Sounds like a perfect day to me, too. :-) North and South and Little Dorrit are two of my "favouritist" favourites! Have you seen Our Mutual Friend?
