Darling, darling Jack. I do love him so! Oh, that's right...you don't know who Jack is, do you?
Allow me to introduce you to "Jack", my new camera!! He's a Nikon D3100 DSLR, which is the kind of camera Kellie's "Algy" is. And seeing as Kellie's my bestie and our cameras are "brothers", what better name could I bestow upon my darling but Jack Worthing? Algernon Moncrieff and Jack Worthing are both characters from Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest. Jack is marvelous! And he is mine and I love him dearly.
After a few preliminary indoor shots (my daddy had the honor of taking the first picture), Jack and I went for a walk and captured the scenery through his eyes...er, lens. I am so, so thankful that I invested in a really good camera! It makes all the difference in the world, as my snowflake photoshoot demonstrates. Jack later accompanied me to Bible study, where we took pictures of pumpkin pie and one of my favorite little girls, Annie. Using a good camera doesn't automatically mean you'll take fantastic pictures...but boy, it sure helps! *grin*
Which is your favorite picture? I want to know!
All these pictures are SO adorable! I have 5 pigmy goats, and even though I don't have a cat, I LOOOOVE them!

That is great Natasha!
ReplyDeleteRebeka and I envy you! :)
I love the second picture of your kitty, the pic of you, and your house photo the best! What a beautiful view!

Ahhhh, that's so exciting that you were able to purchase a DSLR! Looks like you've been having lots of fun with it so far. I can already tell, it's going to make your already fantastic blog posts even better!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the one of Merlin peeking through the fir-needles *stealth-cat!* and the one of your house--so pretty!
ReplyDeleteRunner-up would be the one of Muffin. The look on her face is priceless and so typically cat-like. :-P I can just hear her saying, "Oh, fine, I'll condescend to let you take my picture. Indulge your urge to use your new toy. But I refuse to 'smile for the camera'! Especially if you're going to cut off my tail and front feet like that. Humph."
Anyhoo, loverly pix, Dahling. I can tell you and "Jack" are going to have a long, beautiful working relationship. ;-)
God bless,
~"Tom Wild Rose"~
The pumpkin pie! I did not realise what it was (not being accustumed to pumpkin pies, I suppose) but those cookie leaves (that's what I took them for) are lovely, and really nicely shot!
ReplyDeleteBut all the photos have a certain clarity to them that I am sure is helped by Jack. Enjoy your new camera!
Excellent photographs, Natasha. Jack's owner has the eye of a true photographer!
ReplyDeleteAshley - Thanks! Goats are such curious critters - I certainly enjoy mine:) And I love my kitties, too!
ReplyDeleteCassie - I hope you'll both get a special camera someday, too. Your outfit photos are already so lovely, and I'd love to see what you'd do with a good camera!
We love our view so much! There's a big picture window in our breakfast nook which looks towards the pond. It's nice to see what's going on outside first thing in the morning:)
Winnie - Oh, I shall indeed have fun with my amazing Jack. ;) Thank you:)
Jenna - Welcome! I'm so glad you stopped by:) I will hop over and check out your blog right now!
Sereina - Squee! I am so excited, and I can't wait to get my hands on some good photography books, check out some photography blogs, and begin to see what Jack can truly do!!
Thank you so much for saying so! That means a lot to me coming from you. I love your photography so much:)
Tom - Hehe! I love that one of Merlin, too:) Muffin is such a cat - one minute, she's your best friend and the next "don't you dare touch me!" ;)
Hana-Marmota - Oh my, have you never tasted pumpkin pie?? It is sooo delicious!! I guess I never thought that they might not have pumpkin pie in other countries. :)
Yes, Jack has improved the photo quality and clarity so much. He's amazing. ;)
Will - Thank you! I'm working on cultivating that photographer's eye, and Jack is definitely helping. :)
