Miscellany // Doctor Who Feels & Christmas

And dinner is in the oven.  Which means I have a few minutes to sit down and write a blog post.  That's a good feeling.  I've been rushing around here lately, and I'm really not liking it.

I'm a homebody and an introvert.  I like staying home.  Sometimes, I'm antisocial.

In fact, I had no plans for this week at all.  At all.  I love it when I can get caught up on everything at home and then just recharge.  I ended up going to town today to help with something at our church and to do a bit of shopping.  But that was okay.  Sometimes, you need to get out of the house.  But more often than not...

Speaking of which, I FINALLY saw The Angels Take Manhattan!  Yowzah!!

I cried.  A lot.  I cried when Amy and Rory jumped off the building...

And I cried harder when Amy deliberately turned her back on the angel so she could be with Rory.

And I have had people tell me this...they have no understanding.

In other news, I'm super, super excited about Christmas!
The most wonderful time of the year, and definitely my favorite!

I want to make one of these so much! Wouldn't be hard. :)

I feel like a little kid, stringing lights, putting decorations on the tree, making gifts, wrapping presents.  Love it. *smile*

And that's all I have time for right now.  I need to go eat some snickerdoodles.  Ta ta!

What have you been doing lately?  I want to know!

  1. That has to be one of the saddest moments in Doctor Who! And then the Statue of Liberty as a weeping angel? :O That part was pretty creepy, wasn't it?

I can hardly believe Christmas is less the two weeks away! So exciting!

  2. Sometimes it just feels good to have nothing on your personal agenda. There is great freedom in determining how to order your day. For the first time in 34 years, I am getting that pleasure in retirement and it is addicting! Oh by gosh, by golly, it's time for mistletoe and holly!

  3. I'm a homebody as well, so I totally get that feeling! This past week has been really full between work and other events and activities, so I'm wiped out! And I still have two full days of work ahead of me!

Sadly I had to skip past all the DW stuff, since we're still only in series 3. Like I said above, all the business hasn't left much time for DW watching!

I love Christmastime too! I just can't believe how fast December is going by, though. It's sad that the month's nearly half way over. But I love this time of year. I've been able to take lots of fun Christmas photos. Hopefully I'll get those on the blog soon. :)

  4. So you haven't see season 7 yet? I really enjoyed that one...even if the Angels Take Manhattan was so SAD. But I do really love Clara, so the next episodes weren't too sad for me. But I still miss Rory and Amy. :(

    CHRISTMAS!!! Can't wait!!!

  5. Bethany - I agree. I cried to much over Doomsday, but Angels Take Manhattan was so much sadder, although in a different way.
OH MY WORD!! I screamed when I saw the Statue of Liberty!!! =O Sooo creepy!!

Winnie - Enjoy your freedom! It is addicting. ;)

Sereina - You have so much to look forward to in DW! I'm not completely caught up on current episodes either. I feel very out of the loop sometimes.
Can't wait to see your Christmas photos!!

Hayden - *moans* Only the first part. So, up to The Angels take Manhattan.
