Outfit | Thanksgiving Day

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!   I certainly did.   Family and food.  It doesn't get much better than that, does it?   Here's what I wore today...

comfy & casual...with a twisty updo.

| o u t f i t |
floral print shirt - thrifted/gifted {thanks, dear!}
belt - fred meyer
skirt - christopher & banks
shoes - thrifted

And now I'm off to eat leftovers and {try to} recover from watching the creepiest, scariest Hitchcock film ever.
Bye-bye!

Question: What are some of your family's favorite Thanksgiving traditions?  I want to know!

  1. I had a nice Thanksgiving :) You looked lovely today, if I may say so. I know how hard it is to do long hair... I can almost sit on mine, and putting it up isn't always easy-
    Have a nice weekend

  2. Happy Thanksgiving! I had a great day as well. Thanksgiving traditions...a Thanksgiving play put on by the kids...and Its a Wonderful Life at night. Which I cried through like I do every year. :)

  3. Love this twisty hairdo! It looks really cute on you with your corduroy Thanksgiving outfit. We always travel to Tallahassee, Fl. on Thanksgiving to spend the day with our family friend, Joe. He does all of the cooking and we get to just visit and enjoy the day with his guests. In return, he always spends Christmas with us and I do all the cooking! Alfred Hitchcok is indeed scary and creepy! Sort of along the line of reading ths short stories of Edgar Allen Poe! Yikes!!

  4. Happy Thanksgiving Natasha!
One of our Thanksgiving traditions is all 3 of us children will sit down and watch "Cars" and I think we've been doing that for about 5 years now. :)
Other one is where we all fight over weather or not were putting a table cloth on the table...my brother and I think it's ugly and my parents and my little sister thinks it's pretty. :D 70% of the time we win and 30% they win...this time was on of the 30% times. :)
    God bless!

  5. A belated Happy Thanksgiving to you, dearie! Love your Twisty Updo--it's very flattering and would look great with historically-inspired frocks, too!

Thanksgiving traditions...well, for the past several years, we've made a tradition of having non-traditional food for Thanksgiving dinner! Usually lasagne or manicotti. This year we made personal pizzas on garlic-thyme sourdough bread. *Happy sigh* What can I say? We're just not into turkey! :-P

God bless, and best wishes with your sale!

Oh..Hitchcock always freaks me out. Which one did you watch?

We don't have really have any major Thanksgiving traditions. We usually listen to our first Christmas song of the year and most years we watch Holiday Inn after dinner. :D

    Cheers!

  7. You look lovely, Tasha! I love your hair! And your outfit is adorable as well.(:

    Happy belated Thanksgiving!
my family doesn't have many traditions for Thanksgiving, haha...it depends on which side of the family we spend the holiday with, and that changes up occasionally, so it's always a bit different!

  9. Beautiful hair! And that top... is just the cutest thing on you. perfection!;D

We always have something new going on for Thanksgiving, but one tradition that's held steady for five years now is I (and whoever else is up) stay up late the night before Thanksgiving baking Large Quantities of Good Things and watching 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Really, really random. How did this tradition get started, you ask? I'll tell you!

    I don't know.

    ;) love ya,

  10. Bella - Why thank you! :) Goodness, your hair is long! Mine isn't quite that long yet, but it will be soon. Yes, finding updos for long hair isn't always easy...not to mention that much hair on top of your head can sure give you a headache and/or neck ache! ;)

Ally - A play put on by the kids sounds like so much fun! And I wish we could watch It's a Wonderful Life together and cry. That would be awesome. ;D

    Winnie - Thank you!
Now that sounds like my kind of Thanksgiving...no cooking and lots of resting and visiting. ;)
I love suspense films so much and Hitchcock is my favorite.

Sarah J. - I love it! What a great traditions!

Tom - The twisty updo would look great with historical outfits! It was sort of based off of a Regency look. I'll have to keep that in mind...

What a yummy tradition! I'm not much of a turkey lover, either. The sourdough bread sounds fantastic!

    Amy - Thanks! :)
I watched Psycho for the first time. Definitely do not recommend it to my younger readers (anyone under 18, definitely not), but I LOVED it!!
I need to watch Holiday Inn soon...maybe tonight. :)

Vicki - Thank you! I really love how this outfit came together.
Yeah, we don't really have any Thanksgiving traditions either;)

    Sereina - Thank you:)
Hehe, eating lots of Thanksgiving-y foods is awesome;D

Kellie - Aww, thank you, dear! ;D I LOVE the top so much. Thanks again:)
That is a tradition I completely approve of...in fact, I think I might incorporate that into my Thanksgiving next year. =)
    Love you to bits! ;)
