Okay, I confess.  I love this hat, in this color.  And I've been wearing it a lot.  {see it here and here}  It's just the perfect green, at least for me, and I just love it.  Love it.  Especially with this plaid skirt.  I wish you could feel how soft it is.  The plaid caught my eye and touching it sold me.  I'm a sucker for plaid anyway, plus it's thrift store.  There is a green stripe running through the pattern, and sadly it didn't show up in these photos.  But I know it is there, and that makes me happy. *smile*

These lovely yellow autumn leaves are now covered with snow.  I don't know if it will stay very long since the ground isn't frozen yet, but it's here for now.  But all of our outside winter clean-up is complete, so let the big snow come when it will!

In other news, I just invested in something that will make both my blog and my Etsy more fantastic than ever!   At least, that's the idea.  Kellie owns one of its 'brothers'.  Focus your mental powers, and maybe you can guess what 'it' is... *wink*

Have you had your first snow?  I want to know!

The Josties

Most of you have heard of them, and if you haven't, then you have been missing out.  A lot.

The Jost family band (known as The Josties) have a ministry traveling around, sharing their music and God's blessings with all who hear them.  I had the privilege of hearing them and meeting them on October 30th in Four Lakes, WA.  It was completely worth the hour long drive, I assure you!

So far, all of the wonderful people I've met and enjoyed online have been every bit as wonderful in person, and the Josts are no exception.  By the end of the evening, we were all laughing and hugging as we said good-bye.  And the credit for that is largely due to my bro.  Who says homeschoolers don't know how to make friends and socialize??  He's such a people person, and has no problem starting conversations with strangers.  I'm so thankful for him.

Alex and Joel really hit it off, especially since they're both interested in movie making.

JostieFlicks was my first introduction to the Jost family.  Watch a few.  You'll thank me later.

One more...just one more.  It was hard limiting myself to only four. *smile*

front row| Amy-Joy, Joseph, Hannah-Grace, me, Michell, and Laura.
back row| Joshua, Judah, and Joel
Joining us for this evening were my friends Michelle and Laura.  Needless to say, the hour long car rides to and from were filled with laughter, singing, fun, and glow-sticks (wherever Laura is, there will be glow-sticks;).  We entertain passing motorists with them.  We are epic.

Emily, Hannah-Grace, Joseph, me, my bro, Judah, Josiah, Michelle, and Joshua in the back.
Thank you for a wonderful evening, Josties!  I was blessed both by your music and by meeting you all.  I hope we'll see you again next year when you're up our way!

In the Orchard // Apple Picking

A happy day spent in the orchard picking apples, and laughing until my side hurt watching the antics of Merlin and Bonnie playing together.  Those two have become fast friends, although Bonnie is overwhelmed sometimes by the amount of energy Merlin has.  He's not afraid of her at all, and is the most playful kitty I've ever seen!  Always playing with something - Bonnie's stubby tail, her ears and paws, leaves, bushes, blades of grass, and sometimes rocks!  When he's not playing, he's 'stalking' the big kitties (and sometimes my sheep! lol!).  Muffin gives him a gentle beating every once in a while to keep him in line, and Mitts is still adjusting to having another cat around.  I was happy to see him hanging out with all of us in the orchard and tolerating Merlin.  I'm so blessed to have these wonderful critters in my life...and to have homegrown apples!

What has been blessing you lately?  I want to know!
