of Shopping and Surprises

After Christmas sales are so {perfect}.
You've got a bit of Christmas money to spend and everything is on sale!
What a sublimely superb combination!

Anyway, Kellie and I decided that we simply had to go shopping together.
So, we did.
And we took Kellie's sister Ellen along, too.
Also, I convinced my brother to chauffeur us.  He's an awesome brother. :)

We did not coordinate our outfits on purpose - it just happened.  So fun:)

We had a blast, going to the fabric store, Goodwill, an awesome hole-in-the-wall bookstore, Fred Meyer's, and the mall.  I got a super cute black and white polka dot dress for $2 at the thrift store.  Super cute.  It needs a red belt.  I also found plum colored tights and a grey suede bow headband at Fred's.  The tights and the headband I have been searching for for a while.

We thought this knit hat was very snarky. ;)

Snarky was our word for the day...it is also an inside joke which would take too long to explain here.
You'll just have to wonder and suffer.

We had to take three pictures of the snarky hat.

End of snarky-ness.

When we were done shopping, we headed to the A's house for a surprise visit.
After purchasing chocolate donuts and party blower things.
While listening to the Mission Impossible theme.
Some situations require a theme song.

Upon arriving, we discovered from Mr. and Mrs. A that Christopher and Matthew were not home, but they would be in about 5 minutes.

Oh boy! This was the icing on the cake.
Time for an Impromptu Surprise Party for No Reason!!!
Alex quickly hid the car behind the barn and then we all hid and waited...

SURPRISE!!!!!

We ate our donuts and then played a few rounds of In a Pickle.

Yes, my bro can and does make weird faces.  Talent.

The REAL "I Win!" pic - are you happy, Ani? ;)

Then boys practiced their violin, piano, guitar version of the Pirates of the Caribbean theme.

A little too much party, perhaps...?
Please don't kill me for posting this one, Christopher. ;D

And then it was time to head for home.
Aside from the car alarm going off at the gas station, the trip home was fairly uneventful...=D

Ellen, Kellie, Alex, Christopher, Me, and Matthew.

Happy Trails, y'all!

  1. Yeah, I guess I'm happy. But, idk. A couple of the pictures made me look stupid. One of them made me look cool though. Oh well. Btw, I don't think my bro'll kill you for the picture, cuz he's never on your blog. So no need to worry there. But I'm totally digging my sunglasses btw...

  2. Looks like a fun time was had by all! I love the snarky hat...though do feel strangely consumed by suffering to know the why behind the snarky! ;-)
In a Pickle is an AMAZING game and if I know where you got that quote above the comment box, you have decidedly more then just one weakness! ;-)

  3. That was a ISPFNR of epic proportions. I just can't stop grinning when I look at these pictures! :D

I wonder what would happen if the soundtrack for our next DOTT/ISPFNR was C.W. McCall's Convoy... If this is the result of Mission Impossible, the outcome might be stellar! *__} (That's the keyboard transcription for the noise Alex is making...) ;D

  5. Oh, you poor suffering people! I may have to take pity on you and tell you all the story behind the snarky hat... =)

@Ani - You do not look stupid in any of these pictures. That's just your imagination;)

@KatySue - Definitely more than one weakness! ;)
