Remember me?

Hi. Remember me?  I blogged here once upon a time.

Seriously, that blogging break was much longer than I intended it to be!  But, life happens.

This past month of been packed full of life.  The farm has been busy with 17 lambs born this year.  So many cuties running around!  We also bought pigs for the first time - four of them. I believe they were about 15-20 lbs a month ago, and now they're probably about 50 lbs.  Yikes! They are extremely amusing...especially figuring out the electric fence.  I'm not sorry when I tell you that I laugh every time they touch the fence and squeal.  Yes, I get a charge out of that...pun intended.  I couldn't resist.

My dear Kellie got married on May 2nd.  It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding.  And I forgot to bring my camera.  *face palm*  So, no pictures to share.  I'm sure you'll see tons of pictures on her blog after they get back from their honeymoon.

But the most exciting new life, is the addition that will be making an appearance on approximately November 28th.  Yes, we're having a baby!!  And you can blame baby for my long absence.    I have been sick, sick, sick for over a month now.  Morning sickness is no joke!  Except, it's not just in the morning.  It's all day sickness for me.  But it will pass.  I'm very much looking forward to the 2nd trimester, believe me!

And I believe that catches you, my faithful readers, all up to date!
Sorry there are no pictures - I haven't picked up my camera for a long time.  Far too long.

So, tell me what's been going on with you?
Anything new in your life?
I want to know!

p.s.
May the Fourth be with you.
Happy May the Fourth!!

  3. Yay! A new post! I have been waiting, wondering when you would be announcing your pregnancy here on your blog.:) SO excited for you and Hank! Pigs certainly are very amusing; once they get so big though they scare me just a little. Especially when I have to go into their pen for some reason, and I am thinking about their super sharp teeth. :) They sure taste yummy though!

  7. Congratulations!
I was also wondering when a baby would be coming along.
You certainly sound like your being kept busy.

We had a pig for a while that was given to us during that swine flu scare. She was huge, and sooooo sweet. She just loved people so much, we never ended up butchering her. It was a cross between her being a pet, and too big to put in our freezer at the time. She was over 400 lbs.. Boy she loved to graze on the pasture.

  8. Ahhhh congrats!! :)
The sickness will pass, when I was pregnant I had evening sickness..not morning sickness. Every pregnancy is different. Having a baby is such a blessing, and such an exciting time for a new married couple. Keep us posted, and take pictures of your baby bump every week starting now! My husband and I so enjoyed seeing our little baby grow week to week.
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
    (Psalm 127:3-5)

  9. Congratulations! Such exciting news!! : ) I had my first baby in September, and I too experienced morning sickness all day every day for 6 -7 weeks. But once I hit my second trimester I felt great.

May the LORD bless and strengthen you!

  13. First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you guys!

Second of all, yay! I'm glad you posted, because I missed you in the blogosphere.

Thirdly, yeah, my mom always said the only reason it was called morning sickness was because it *started* in the morning. It stinks to be sick. :(
