Wallpaper Wednesday | Merlin

Well hello there, everyone!   I'm feeling very bubbly and joyful this morning...which is unusual for me, at least before noon.  *grin*  Definitely extremely excited about my Grandma's visit - she's going to be here in 3 days!!!!  That's my excuse for excessive use of this "!" during the next week.

Anyway, time for Wallpaper Wednesday!   I'd really like this to be a weekly deal, but the thing is you can't force creativity.  Either it happens or it doesn't.  This past week though, after finding all of those lovely high-res images for Merlin, my creativity has been rushing along like an out-of-control truck...or something like that.  Hours spent in my room, hunched over Della (my laptop), watching Ivanhoe (BBC), guzzling copious amounts of tea and hot chocolate...it ain't always pretty, but it works for me.

The results thus far, are these...

To say I love the way these two wallpapers turned out, is a gross understatement.   I LOVE the way these turned out!!  That's a bit better.   I also have one for Gwen and one for Morgana in the works, but they aren't quite ready to share yet.  Maybe next week...we shall see. ;)

Happy Trails, y'all!

Wallpaper Wednesday | David Tennant

Howdy folks!  I hope your Wednesday was as fabulous as mine was!  This morning I went with a friend to visit her spinning (as in, spinning wheel) group meeting.  It was fascinating listening to the ladies there talk about different spinning techniques and watch them use their wheels.  I didn't bring my wheel this time, preferring to simply observe my first time there, but I think I will next time.  Or possibly my knitting - a lot of the ladies brought knitting projects and offered to help me figure out the proper way to cast on.  As I've been struggling to teach myself to knit using instructional books, I think I'm going to take them up on their offer!

Okay, enough of that - are you ready for today's wallpaper?

{click on picture for full size image}

Smelling salts, anyone?  I have them handy, in case any of my fellow DT fangirls faint.
*grin*
 I think you'll be pleased to hear that I have a few more wallpapers featuring David-Tennant-of-the-epic-hair in the works, which I will be sharing sometime soon. :)

Happy Trails, y'all!

p.s.
Stay tuned for a blog party announcement soon!

Wallpaper Wednesday | Judy Garland

As requested by Hanne-col months and months and months ago, Judy Garland!

{click on photo for full size image - also available on the For You page...or it will be after I sort out some technical difficulties.}

A few of my favorite films starring Judy are...
The Wizard of Oz
The Harvey Girls
Easter Parade
Meet Me in St. Louis
In the Good Old Summertime
The Pirate
The Clock

I've yet to see any of her films with Mickey Rooney, to my sorrow.  Someday soon, I hope.  I know I'm going to love them together. :)

Have a lovely day y'all!

p.s.
The Avengers was officially released on DVD yesterday!  We're getting together with some friends to watch it tonight.  Cannot WAIT to see it again!! :D

Wallpaper Wednesday | My Doctor {vol. 2}

Annndd, I almost forgot it was Wednesday.
Wellll, I didn't forget it was Wednesday really, I just forgot to share my latest wallpaper creations until now.
*smile*

So, Vol. 2 of the My Doctor series.
I didn't get as many wallpapers completed as I wanted to, so these will have to suffice.   Kellie and I are going to have a booth for our shops at a local-ish antique/craft event in a few weeks, so I've been rather busy creating new items to sell.  More on that later...  As a result I haven't had as much time to play around with graphic design on my computer, and in order to get everything done in time I'll be taking a break from Wallpaper Wednesday next week.

But enough about that - time for some Doctor Who wallpaper!
Allons-y!

The Lazarus Experiment is probably one of my least favorite episodes, but honestly, how can you resist the Doctor playing the pipe organ?!  Not me...

Actually, I think these four are some of my very favorites. :)

....

I hope you all had a simply marvelous Wednesday!
Happy Trails!

Wallpaper Wednesday | I am SHERlocked

Greetings and a very happy Wednesday to you all!
I'm still working on the next volume of the My Doctor series, so I will share those next week.

Today on Wallpaper Wednesday, I'm excited to share with you a few wallpapers which Ashley and Gabrielle requested...

S H E R L O C K

Okay, so this next one...well, I LOVE it.

.....

I'll probably create a few wallpapers featuring John Watson and a few other characters at some point, but I thought this should do it for now.  Too much Sherlock Holmes/Benedict Cumberbatch isn't possible. *grin*

Happy Trails, y'all!

Wallpaper Wednesday | My Doctor... {vol. 1}

Okay...Wallpaper Wednesday...again.
Is it just me, or does it feel like Wednesday comes around terribly quickly?  Seriously, it feels like it was just yesterday.  No other day of the week does that to me.  Maybe it's the way I have to conciously say wed-nes-day when spelling it.  Maybe because it's the middle of the week.  Maybe because I have to have glorious new wallpapers ready to share with my adoring fans.  *grin*  Or maybe it's a wee bit of all three.  I don't know.  Wow - I think deep thoughts, don't I?  While I'm thinking deep thoughts...does anyone else hate that Blogger works best with Google Chrome?  Because I'm kind of starting to hate Chrome.  It's driving me nuts.  Especially because it doesn't seem quite as compatible with Pinterest.  Or maybe that's just my computer.  Could be.  I think my computer has a secret mission to take over the world...or at least the internet...which is basically taking over the world.  It's in league with Net Nanny.  I'm sure of it.  And I've been watching waaaaayyyy to much Doctor Who, haven't I?
Ahem.  Moving on...

In this wallpaper series, as I said before, I'm focusing on David Tennant as the Doctor (was that a 'squeee' I heard from Alexandra?).  All of those special, quirky, heart breaking, hilarious, brilliant moments that make him our Doctor.  So, without further ado, My Doctor...

{obviously Ten's not the only one with a sonic screwdriver, but boy, can he use it!}

I didn't think it could get any better than the 3D glasses, but I was wrong...

- all pictures link to their full sized images and are also available on the For You page -
I found the Gallifreyan font here.
.....

And now it's your turn!
What are your favorite Ten moments?
I'll create and share as many My Doctor wallpapers as I can next week:)

A few that I'm hoping to make would be...
My Doctor...runs...a lot.
My Doctor...can play a pipe organ. (from The Lazarus Experiment)
My Doctor...says Allons-y!
.....

Have a marvelous Wednesday, everyone!!

p.s.
These two wallpapers somehow didn't make it into last weeks post...

Wallpaper Wednesday | Doctor Who {vol. 4}

Today is Wednesday.  That fact just now dawned on me.   It's time for Wallpaper Wednesday and Volume 4 of my Doctor Who wallpaper series!  My blogging break was perfect in that it gave me time to finish watching Series 4...three times, actually. *blush* Ahem, yes...and I LOVED every single minute of it!!
The reunion scene between Rose and Ten?  LOVE!!!  My favorite DW scene ever, no question.  And yes, I cried...a lot.  Between the reunion, Donna's tragic departure, and Ten's lonely, sad brown eyes, I was a mess.

Anyway, I now have some S4 inspired wallpaper, too.  Yay!!

But, we're going to be starting off with this one of Nine and Rose...

Okay, so I LOVE this scene.  I can't even begin to say how much I love this scene.  The Doctor, doing what he's wanted to do since he first meet Rose.  Also, it's one of the best movie kisses I've seen in a long time.
Just sayin'.
.....

.....

This next one...well, it may very well be my favorite.  Ever.

Ahh!  Isn't that just the cutest picture, ever?!  Love it.  Just LOVE it.

I can never get enough of the 3D glasses.  Never, ever...

And a few of Ten and Sarah Jane Smith...

And some random ones...just because:)

Because this part makes me laugh so hard...

I loved Time Crash - the 5th and 10th Doctors together?!  Pretty much awesome.

.....

- all pictures link to their full sized images and will be available on the For You page soon -

And that wraps up Vol. 4 of the Doctor Who series.
I know there are a few requests that I didn't get to, for which I am sorry...so sorry.  I will be making more Doctor Who wallpapers in the future - you can count on that - and will get to those requests then, never fear!  There are just way to many good lines and fantastic scenes in this series to get them all, anyway:)

.....

Next week, I'll be sharing a new series entitled My Doctor, focusing on David Tennant as The Doctor.
*squeal*
I know you're going to love it:)

Happy Trails!

Wallpaper Wednesday | Doctor Who {vol. 3}

Hello everyone!  Wednesday always manages to creep up on me when I'm not expecting it...and when only about 3/4 of the wallpapers I wanted to share are completely finished.  Oh well, all the more for the next week:)

Today we'll begin with John Smith from the two part-er episodes Human Nature and Family of Blood from Season 3.

I can't take credit for the text on this one - I found that quote on Pinterest and just had to use it:)

I have mixed feelings on these episodes.  On the one hand, John Smith was absolutely adorable and his romance with Joan Redfern was so sweet.   BUT...it seriously freaked me out when John Smith didn't want to go back to being The Doctor.  Please tell me I'm not the only one who was freaked out about that!

{in case you're not a Whovian and you're wondering, The Doctor became human (John Smith) for these two episodes in order to evade some aliens.  Time Lords can do that, you know.}

And yes, I sobbed when John Smith was trying to decide whether to forget Joan and go back to being The Doctor or to stay with her forever.  That dream-y sequence where he imagines their life together broke my heart.

.....

Okay, now one of my favorite scenes from The Girl in the Fireplace from Season 2.  LOVED the horse on the spaceship=)

"Stop following me!  I'm not your mummy!"

.....

And now on to Season 4...

Catherine Tate as Donna Noble

I believe I said this before, but I love David Tennant and Catherine Tate together.
They are so funny!!

Thank you, Doctor Who.  Now I know what really happened at Pompeii. ;)

.....

.....

And that's all for this week.

- as usual, all images link to their full sized wallpaper images and are also available on the For You page -

There are so many wonderful scenes and quotes I want to create wallpapers for, but I just can't get to all of them.  So, what are some of your favorite Doctor moments that you'd like to see as wallpapers?
 .....

In other news, I've decided to take a week off from blogging and from the computer in general (except for my Etsy shop) next week.  Which means the last week of the Doctor Who wallpaper series will be the week after next week.  That should give me plenty of time to get all of the wallpapers ready...in theory;)

So Happy Trails y'all and have a fabulous Wednesday!
